Tuesday ScripTune

A day for scripture and song.

Today's Tuesday ScripTune is "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus.
Now regardless of what you may think of Miley/Hannah Montana or her career choices, this is a beautiful song.
Everytime I hear it, I am reminded that our lives are not measured by our final accomplishments, they are measured by how we lived.

We don't have to be afraid of what we are facing. God has promised to go along.  We shouldn't listen to the voices that tell us we are unable.  God has promised that with Him we are capable.  We won't always like what is before us, we will want God to take it away. I heard someone say recently, "We want deliverance, God wants development". That is absolutely true when it comes to our journey in life. It is full of mountains, and rocky roads. We will stumble, and more often than not, fall. We crawl over rough rocks and sometimes it hurts. We want to give up.
But if we stay on course, keep our faith where it belongs we will make it through and be ready for the nexttime.
 You see.
It's the journey....... the path........ the road.......the climb......that is what really matters.

Psalm 119:30 I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your ordinances before me.

Acts 14:22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, “Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.”

1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

2 Corinthians 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Mark 11:23 Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.

1 Corinthians 2:3 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling

Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Hebrews 12:1Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.

Hebrews 13:18 Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things.

Proverbs 20:11 It is by his deeds that a lad distinguishes himself
If his conduct is pure and right.

Philippians 1:27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ
